On may 4th, a joint meeting between the city of xiamen and the university of xiamen city cooperation centre was held at the 4th news service of fujian daily newspaper, xin fukuyan, where a cooperation agreement was signed for the establishment of the world intellectual property organization technology and innovation support centre in china (tisc)。
The cooperation agreement promotes in-depth cooperation between the two parties on the enhancement of the level of intellectual property information services and the expansion of their content in order to provide a strong basis for the business environment in the city of xiamen to promote quality development。
It was noted that the world intellectual property organization (wipo) technology and innovation support centre in china aims to build local quality technology information and related services for innovators in developing countries to help them develop their innovative potential and create, apply, protect and manage intellectual property rights. At present, the xiamen city market supervisory authority (ipo) is collaborating with the university of xiamen in conducting a study on the evaluation system for intellectual property development indicators. The study assesses the current state of intellectual property development in xiamen city by comparing it with the target cities, and provides a comprehensive assessment of the patent creation, conversion and utilization capabilities of the five leading industries in xiamen city, with a clear development matrix and a focus on development directions. The campus has also cooperated in promoting the implementation of the pilot of open licences, and the university of xiamen has issued the first 52 open licences, mainly in the fields of electronic information, biomedicine and mechanical engineering, the vast majority of which are invention patents. Of these, 22 are open free of charge and 44 open-licensing contracts with enterprises have been concluded, significantly reducing the difficulty of obtaining licences for higher education and enterprises and the cost of obtaining patent technology, better benefiting small and medium-sized enterprises and contributing to their quality development。
