In order to follow up on the spirit of the important directive of the secretary-general of xi on intellectual property rights, the people's government of yunnan province of ccpyuns has carefully followed up on the implementation of the programme for the construction of intellectual property power (2021-2035), further upgrading the level of intellectual property creation, use, protection, management and services throughout the city, firmly promoting the rule of law in the protection of intellectual property rights, continuously optimizing the business environment in the city-wide rule of law, effectively stimulating the innovation and dynamism of market agents, and effectively strengthening the entire chain of intellectual property rights to protect the foundations of the rule of law. On the morning of 23 april, during the national intellectual property awareness week, organized under the leadership of the market monitoring authority, the municipal judicial service took the initiative to carry out its duties in a proactive and serious manner, in cooperation with the members of the municipal intellectual property service, to organize a general intellectual property awareness campaign at the diocese cultural and art square in the city area, focusing on the theme “strengthening the protection of intellectual property rights in new and emerging areas and accelerating the development of new quality productivity”, in the form of a joint, centralized and face-to-face legal campaign to bring intellectual property legal knowledge, rights-based services and the rule of law to the attention of the population and operators。
Through the establishment of advisory desks, the display of information boards, the distribution of information materials, and on-site interpretation of cases, staff members are directed to former members of the public and to neighbouring businesses, insist on the use of case law, the use of common law, the use of easily understandable rural languages, the use of live and visual cases, highlight the law of the people's republic of china on patents, the law of the people's republic of china on the right to copyright, the civil code of the people's republic of china and the relevant laws and regulations on the protection of intellectual property, and elaborate on practical legal knowledge on the use of trademarks, the protection of patent applications, the registration process of copyrights, torts, the identification of legal responsibilities for infringement, the channels of administrative complaints, the access to judicial protection and the application of legal aid。
More than 200 information materials were distributed, 26 consultations were held with the public and more than 1,000 people were educated, which effectively promoted the concept of protection of intellectual property rights throughout society.
