Gs1 awareness-raising has been under way for 22 years, resulting in the creation of valuable brand values, 34 bar-coded teacher training courses, and 1,214 higher-education teachers in 758 schools in 32 provinces of the country participated in bar-code teacher training; 151 bar-coded and object-coded knowledge tours were held, with a total of about 185,000 students taking part in the tours; and the annual national university-level competition on codes and automatic identification knowledge was held for 17 consecutive years in 2007-2024, with nearly 183,000 students taking part in successive competitions。

2. Background of the competition
In order to respond positively to the requirements of the specialized action plan for standardized talent development (2023-2025) to strengthen the development of a standardized workforce, in conjunction with the practical application of the gs1 system, to disseminate the coding and automatic identification of goods throughout society, and to promote a development pattern of integration of teaching and learning at birth, the 2025 national competition for the coding and automatic identification of students' belongings, with the aim of integrating teachings at the level of "yen-yen-yan-yan-yan-yan-yan-yan-yan-yan-yan-jan-yan-yan-yan-yan-jan" will lead institutions to optimize the curriculum and practical training systems for automatic identification of items and related specializations, promote integration of education and industry, and increase standardization of the coding of hard quality items for the construction of "digital china"。
3. Forms of competition
Competitions take the form of individual races, group races。

Personal competitions are ranked, and online responses are called competitions. The number of individual races is determined by national rankings. The group races are divided into undergraduate groups and high-level groups of high-level specialists, which are formed in the name of the school, with four persons per team and a limited number of teams per player. The contestants who participate in the group races are required to take part in the individual competitions, the results of which are not counted as those of the group. The group is ranked in the final round with thesis. The group finals were awarded the award for their combined finals. 4. Content of the competition
4. 1 individual competitions
Individual competitions are ranked with 30 per cent content-based knowledge; 30 per cent expertise; and 40 per cent knowledge development. The number of individual responses was 60 minutes, 135 objective questions and 4 subjective questions。
These include: bar code technology and applications, item code marking, marking analysis, logistics, e-commerce, etc。
4. 2 group race
The group selection contest presented a paper. The theme of the paper was “2d technology enabling digital economy”。
Thesis requests and reviews: each team is limited to one paper, which is done independently by the team participating or under the guidance of the tutor。
Thesis review: the paper was rated 100 points by experts of the competition's organizing committee, of which 40 points were innovative, 30 points scientific, 20 points practical and 10 points normative. (for the presentation of the paper, see the 2025 group paper requirements)
The results of the group's finals consist of the results of the field competition and thesis, with a weight of 9:1 and the field competition consisting of a live exercise and a live defence。

6. Awards
6. 1 individual competition awards
The first, second and third prizes are awarded to individuals. 50 first prizes, 1st to 50th prizes; 100 second prizes, 51st to 150th prizes; 250 third prizes, 151st to 400th prizes, presented by the competition organizing committee to the winners and the award winning certificate。
6. 2 group awards
Group gold, silver, copper awards. One gold award, three silver prizes and five copper prizes for the high and high-level panels; one gold award, two silver prizes and three copper awards for the section; and trophies and award of awards. 6. 3 teacher incentives
Tutor for the group winning team, mentor for organizing students for more than 50 individual contests, received the title of `excellent tutor' and issued a certificate of honour。
7. Complaints and arbitration
It was established by the working group on arbitration. In the event of irregularities or irregularities, the team leader may file a complaint with the arbitration team within two hours of the end of the competition, and the competition arbitration team organizes a review within two hours of the receipt of the complaint and provides a timely feedback on the outcome。
